Branding for a Hungarian Touristic Region
Zemplén is a beautiful, untamed mountain range of North-Eastern Hungary that is yet to be discovered by local and international visitors. We created an emblem for this adventurous and serene region. Beside its natural treasures, Zemplén is also known for its eerie castle ruins from the middle ages, wineries and local gastro scenes. We developed a logo that was inspired by nature and evokes the visuals of sun rays, glistening through the lush leaves. The negative space Z is bordered by the curves of the greenery and also refers to the winding, adventurous trails of the region.
The brand identity is consciously designed to be “clean” and delicate, while it's easy to use in different platforms, from digital to posters and to small prints. Following the style of the logo, the ZEMPLÉN sign is also characteristic, yet simple and effortless. Just like in the case of our comprehensive Kismaros place branding project, we were eager to create an appealing visual identity that is honest and conveys the essence of the region.
